Key takeaways
- The job decides the tool. Oz, Zeely and AdGPT generate image and video ads, Anyword and Jasper write copy, Shown.io and AdsGo AI also launch campaigns, and Dicer AI and VidMob analyze creative that already exists.
- Plans count different things: credits (Oz, Zeely, AdGPT), creative packs (OmniTrain), seconds of video (Topview AI), final downloads (Waymark), predictions (Anyword) or a share of ad spend (AdsGo AI, Otis AI, Shown.io). The unit you run out of first sets your real price.
- Entry prices run from 5.9 USD a month to 350 USD a month for video, and several enterprise platforms (Hunch, Omneky, Pencil, Smartly, Persado, VidMob, Albert.ai) publish no price at all.
- Free access is thin. Creatify offers 10 free credits with watermarked output, Canva has a free plan, and AdCreative.ai gives 10 credits in a 7 day trial, which its entry says covers a single concept.
- Every card shows the date its facts were last verified against vendor pages. Entries from August 2026 are the first to re-check before you buy, and AdCreative.ai's pricing page returned a 404 at last check.

How the order works. Compiled from vendor documentation and published pricing, with each tool's facts last verified between August and 29 October 2026. Inside each group the order rests on three things: how much of the ad job the vendor documents the product doing, how clearly it publishes price and plan limits, and whether free access lets a buyer check fit before paying. Price alone does not set rank.

What does an AI ad generator do, and which ad formats can it make?
An AI ad generator produces ad creative from a brief, a product link or a reference ad: static images, short video, copy and variations sized for each platform. Some also publish the ads or tune the campaign. This guide ranks 27 tools inside six jobs, because a copy tool and a programmatic buying platform solve different problems.
Formats differ more than the marketing suggests. Oz lists static ads, carousels, story videos and UGC-style video, Waymark focuses on broadcast-style video drafts, Anyword and Jasper write copy only, and ad:personam’s banner generator targets display. Compare the format you need to run, not the number of features.
Which AI ad generator fits your situation?
Match your situation to the group first, then read the ranked picks. This table points to the tools to open first, based on the documented limits in each profile.
| Your situation | Start with |
|---|---|
| Image and video ads from a product URL on a small budget | Oz (19.99 USD a month), Zeely or AdGPT |
| Shopify catalogue with an ad needed for each product | AdGPT, or Hunch for feed-driven catalogue advertisers |
| Meta only, three distinct angles per brief, paused for your approval | OmniTrain |
| On-brand assets and resizing, with a free plan to start | Canva Magic Studio |
| Video ads, trying a free plan first | Creatify (free, 10 credits, watermarked) |
| A few broadcast-quality video spots a month | Waymark (2 final downloads on Starter) |
| Writing many ad copy variants with a score before spend | Anyword or Jasper |
| No ad specialist, and you want ads built and launched for you | Shown.io, AdsGo AI or ADXL |
| Google Ads for several clients | Adsby |
| Meta-first with rules and automation to manage | Madgicx |
| Enterprise advertiser across many markets or channels | Pencil, Omneky, Smartly or VidMob |
| Regulated industry with compliance review on every message | Persado |
What do AI ad generators cost, and what does each plan count?
Entry prices run from about 6 USD to 350 USD a month for self-serve plans, and several enterprise tools publish nothing. What matters more is the unit a plan counts, because that unit sets your cost as volume grows. Convert each plan into cost per finished ad before comparing.
| Plan counts | Examples from this guide | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| Credits per generation | Oz (100 credits on Starter), Zeely (2,500 credits), AdGPT (6,000 credits a year) | Credit cost per image and per video, which Zeely and AdGPT do not publish |
| Creative packs | OmniTrain (15 credits per pack of up to three ads) | A subscription is needed even for one pack |
| Seconds of video | Topview AI (0.12 USD a second at 720p) | Every retry is metered |
| Final downloads | Waymark (2 a month on Starter) | Drafts are unlimited, finished files are not |
| Predictions or scoring | Anyword (50 a month on Starter) | Copy is unlimited, the feature you buy it for is not |
| Seats and brand limits | Jasper (59 USD per seat), Canva (brand kits) | Cost scales with team size, and brand caps hit agencies first |
| Campaigns and creatives | Shown.io (3 campaigns and 30 creatives on Starter) | Whether old campaigns count toward the cap |
| Share of ad spend | AdsGo AI (10%, 5% or 2%), Otis AI (12% or 10%), Shown.io (20% on its ad accounts) | Total cost rises with your budget |
| Quote only | Hunch, Omneky, Pencil, Smartly, Persado | Budget approval before price discovery |
What should you check before paying for an AI ad generator?
Check five things before you pay: whether the tool publishes to the ad platforms you use, whether it holds a brand kit, what the licence says about commercial use, whether fees are tied to your ad spend, and whether you can test variants against each other. Each one changes the real cost or the real workload.
- Publishing to the ad platforms. AdGPT, Zeely, OmniTrain, Shown.io and Omneky connect to ad accounts, while others export files. Connecting a tool to a live account needs a permissions decision, so settle who approves what. Check the platform’s current ad policy for any claim or format restriction.
- Brand kit and consistency. Canva holds 1 brand kit on Free and 5 on Pro. AdGPT’s brand book upload starts on Prime, and Oz limits Starter and Basic to one brand. Brand caps tend to push agencies up a tier before credits do.
- Commercial rights and likeness. Read the terms on output ownership. Canva states you own your output but limits IP indemnification to Enterprise, and Creatify and Topview AI publish no detail on how AI presenter likenesses were sourced.
- Fees tied to ad spend. AdsGo AI, Otis AI and Shown.io add a percentage of ad budget. Work out the total at your own monthly spend, because a cheap plan with a 10% share is not cheap at 5,000 USD.
- Creative testing. Generating variants only helps if you can compare them. OmniTrain reports an answer on a pack once it has run, Zeely tracks creatives by spend, CTR, CPA and ROAS, and Dicer AI analyzes existing creative. Where a tool only generates, plan the test in the ad platform itself.
Can AI ad generators make video ads, and where do UGC avatar tools fit?
Yes. Several tools here make video ads from a product link: Oz, Zeely, AdGPT, Creatify, Waymark and Topview AI. Their limits differ most: length, resolution, final downloads per month and metered seconds. Tools built around AI actors and creator-style clips are ranked separately.
For presenter and UGC-style ads, see the guide to AI UGC and avatar video generators for ads. Creatify and Topview AI appear in both, because they also turn a product page into a general video ad.
How is this guide ranked and checked?
Each tool here has a full profile on this site, and every price, limit and free-tier statement on its card is read from that profile. Profiles are compiled from the vendor’s own pricing and product pages, with the verification date shown on the card.
Within a group, the order follows three questions: how much of the ad job the vendor documents the product doing, how clearly it publishes price and plan limits, and whether free access lets you check fit first. A tool whose prices are not published ranks below a comparable one that publishes them. Six tools were left out: Fashion Diffusion (apparel product images, not ads), SymphonyOS (music promotion), FlickBloom and TeamAI (managed services from 2,750 USD a month), Scale Insights (Amazon PPC rules only) and Compass.co (campaign planning without named ad integrations).
Static and multi-format ad generators
Tools that turn a product link, a photo or a reference ad into finished ad creative, usually image and short video together. Most sell monthly credits, so the useful number is what one ad costs in credits.
Oz
Image and video ads built from a website URL, sold as monthly credit plans
Best for: DTC brands that want image and video ads from a product URL on a credit plan
Ranked first because the credit arithmetic is published: images cost 1 or 2 credits and videos 5 to 15, so Starter's 100 credits yield about 50 two-credit image ads or 10 ten-credit videos. Every tool and model is on every plan. Credits do not roll over and billing is monthly only.
- Starting price
- 19.99 USD a month for Starter, rising to 99.99 USD for Professional and from 599 USD for Enterprise
- Free access
- No free plan. The homepage advertises 3 free ads on signup with no card, and the pricing page does not describe a trial.
- Facts verified
- October 2026
Documented strengths
- Reads a website URL to build a brand profile, a product catalogue and customer and competitor profiles that feed every ad
- Generates static ads, lifestyle shoots, TikTok-style UGC, product reshoots, product shot videos, carousels and story videos
- Offers 40+ ready-made AI avatars, or avatars generated from a text prompt, with voices in 10 languages
Documented limits
- Credits do not roll over. The allowance resets at the start of each billing month.
- Every plan is billed monthly. The FAQ says annual and quarterly billing are not offered yet.
Worth it if: Oz fits a DTC brand or small agency that wants 50 to 275 two-credit image ads or 10 to 55 ten-credit videos a month for 19.99 to 99.99 USD, and is happy to buy credits month by month.
Skip it if: You want credits that roll over, an annual discount, or more than one connected social account per platform below the 99.99 USD a month Professional plan.
Zeely
AI video and static ad generator with Meta campaign launch, sold by monthly credits
Best for: Marketers who want video and static ads launched on Meta from one place
Documents the broadest scope in this group: video, UGC-style, static batches and ad cloning, plus bulk Meta campaign launch and a competitor ad library of 10,000+ brands. It ranks below Oz because the credit cost per asset is not published, the page shows a second unlabelled price on each plan, and Meta campaigns can carry a fee of up to 12%.
- Starting price
- 29.95 USD a month for Starter (2,500 credits)
- Free access
- No free plan or trial is mentioned on the pricing page.
- Facts verified
- October 2026
Documented strengths
- Creates video ads, UGC-style ads, talking reels, AI avatar videos and URL-to-video ads, with a choice of models including Veo, Kling, Seedance and Wan
- Creates static ad batches, ad cloning and variations, and a brand-inspired remix of reference ads
- Launches bulk Meta campaigns with templates and automated rules and tracks creatives by spend, CTR, CPA and ROAS with fatigue detection
Documented limits
- Credits are the only cap with a figure (2,500, 5,000 and 10,000). The FAQ says plans differ in campaigns and creatives but gives no numbers.
- Running ads on Facebook and Instagram incurs additional charges, stated as potentially up to 12%, and ad spend is not included in the plan.
Worth it if: You want to generate video and static ads and launch them on Meta from one place, on a monthly credit plan starting at 29.95 USD.
Skip it if: You need annual billing figures, a published free trial or a fixed cost for Meta campaigns, since the page cites a fee of up to 12% and publishes no trial.
AdGPT
Static, video and UGC ads from a product link, sold as annual credit plans
Best for: Shopify stores that want an ad per product pushed to TikTok, Meta and Google
Uploads static, video and UGC sets to TikTok, Meta and Google ad accounts, and AD Clone rebuilds a competitor ad into variations. Basic is yearly billing only and excludes translation and resizing, and credits per ad are not published, so a plan cannot be converted into a number of ads.
- Starting price
- 29 USD a month for Basic (348 USD in one annual payment), rising to 239 USD a month for Prime
- Free access
- No free plan is listed on the pricing page. The homepage says users can start creating without a credit card, but what that free creation includes is not published.
- Facts verified
- October 2026
Documented strengths
- Generates static image ads, short video ads and UGC-style videos from a product link, a single product photo or a connected Shopify catalog
- AD Clone breaks down a Meta, YouTube or TikTok ad into its hook, message and emotional triggers and generates variations from it
- UGC In Action videos show AI creators holding, wearing or demonstrating a product, with UGC length of 15, 30 or 60 seconds depending on plan
Documented limits
- Basic is sold on yearly billing only, at 348 USD in one payment. It excludes translation, resizing and video editing.
- Credits per generated ad or video are not published. The pricing page says the amount depends on what you generate, so a plan cannot be converted into a number of ads.
Worth it if: AdGPT fits a Shopify store that wants an ad generated for each product in its catalog and pushed to TikTok, Meta and Google, and can pay 348 USD upfront for the 6,000 credit Basic plan.
Skip it if: You need the credit cost of one ad before buying, since the pricing page says only that it depends on what you generate, or you need 1080p video below the 239 USD a month Prime tier.
OmniTrain
Three Meta ad angles from one brief, published paused, sold as monthly credit plans
Best for: Small Meta advertisers who want three distinct ad angles per brief
Narrow but clear: one Creative Pack costs 15 credits and holds up to three ads, published as a paused Meta campaign for the owner to approve. Credits roll over, and Meta spend is billed separately. It covers Meta only and needs a subscription even for a single pack.
- Starting price
- 30 USD per month for Light, rising to 150 USD for Pro
- Free access
- No free plan. No trial is published.
- Facts verified
- October 2026
Documented strengths
- Plans a Creative Pack of up to three coordinated ads as deliberately different angles from one brief
- Creates one paused campaign under a selected Facebook Page, leaving targeting, schedule and budget for the owner to review
- After a pack has run, gives one plain answer on performance with evidence, and says when it is too early to tell or delivery was not comparable
Documented limits
- An active subscription is required. A single Creative Pack cannot be bought without one.
- Meta advertising spend is billed by Meta and is not included in the subscription or credits.
Worth it if: OmniTrain fits a small business that runs Meta campaigns and wants three distinct ads per brief, with 30 USD a month for 4 Creative Packs and every launch held paused until the owner approves.
Skip it if: You advertise outside Meta, want to buy a single pack without a subscription (not offered), or need Website Leads or Sales campaigns without installing a Meta pixel.
Canva Magic Studio
Brand controlled design production for people who are not designers
Best for: Teams that need on-brand ad assets and resizing without a designer
Not an ad-specific generator, so it ranks below the tools above on documented ad scope. It is the only one here with a standing free plan and brand kits (1 on Free, 5 on Pro) to hold non-designers to a look. IP indemnification applies only to Enterprise.
- Starting price
- Pro 110 EUR per year for one person; Business 170 EUR per year per person
- Free access
- Free plan at 0 EUR per year for one person, including one brand kit limited to three colours.
- Facts verified
- August 2026
Documented strengths
- Brand kits constrain what non designers can produce, which is the actual governance problem
- Resize and batch workflows handle the repetitive part of campaign production well
- The learning curve is close to zero, so adoption across a marketing team is fast
Documented limits
- IP indemnification through Canva Shield is limited to Enterprise customers at 100 or more seats
- Editing a Canva library photo with AI does not release you from that asset's original license
Worth it if: You need on-brand assets without a designer, and brand kits to constrain what non-designers can produce.
Skip it if: You need brand identity or art direction work, or contractual IP indemnification below the Enterprise seat threshold.
AdCreative.ai
Ad creative generation at volume, sold on a performance prediction claim
Best for: Advertisers who want platform-sized variants and will sign up to learn the price
Documents wide scope (platform-correct sizes, Instant Ads from a URL, video, scoring and an API) but ranks last in this group because its pricing page returned a 404 and no figure is published. The trial's 10 credits cover about one concept after discarding misses, and the creative scores come without a stated method.
- Starting price
- Not published. The pricing page returns a 404.
- Free access
- 7 day free trial with 10 creative credits, cancellable in two clicks.
- Facts verified
- August 2026
Documented strengths
- Generates platform-correct sizes and formats directly, which removes the resizing work that consumes most creative production time
- Instant Ads from a website URL shortens the path from brief to first draft considerably
- Creative scoring, video generation and custom templates sit in one product rather than across three
Documented limits
- No pricing is published anywhere. The pricing page returns a 404 and no figure appears in the site map, so cost cannot be established before signing up
- The trial is 10 credits, which covers a single concept once you discard the misses rather than a real test
Worth it if: You need many platform-sized ad variants a month and no designer to make them, and you are willing to sign up for a 7 day trial to discover the price.
Skip it if: You need a published price to shortlist against, or your bottleneck is creative strategy rather than creative volume.
Video ad generators
Tools whose main output is video: product URL to video, AI presenters or broadcast-style spots. For avatar and UGC-first ads, see the separate guide to AI UGC and avatar video generators for ads.
Creatify
AI actor video ads with every tier and credit allowance published
Best for: Marketers testing AI actor video hooks who want every tier published
Ranked first for publishing every tier, including a free plan with 10 credits a month and 300 actors. Starter's 100 credits are an evaluation allowance, as iteration uses several credits per finished video. Pro at 99 USD adds an AI Media Buyer and Competitor Ad Tracker. For the UGC angle, see /best/ai-ugc-and-avatar-video-generators-for-ads/.
- Starting price
- 39 USD per month for Starter with 100 credits, rising to 99 USD for Pro
- Free access
- Free plan with 10 monthly credits, 300 actors and watermarked output.
- Facts verified
- August 2026
Documented strengths
- Every tier is published including a genuinely usable free plan at 10 credits a month
- The Pro tier at 99 dollars bundles AI Media Buyer and Competitor Ad Tracker rather than selling them separately
- 1,500 AI actors plus 3 custom avatars on Pro is a large library relative to competitors at the price
Documented limits
- 100 credits on the 39 dollar Starter plan is an evaluation allowance rather than a production one, since iteration consumes several credits per finished asset
- The free plan watermarks output, so it proves the concept without producing anything usable
Worth it if: You want to test AI video ad hooks free first, then pay 39 USD a month for 100 credits or 99 USD for Pro.
Skip it if: You are making brand film, or you need more than 10 minutes of output per video, or a documented consent model for the AI actors.
Waymark
AI video ad drafts from a website, with downloads capped per plan
Best for: Marketers who need a few broadcast-quality video ads a month
Drafts are unlimited but final downloads are capped at 2 a month on Starter, at 350 USD billed annually or 399 USD monthly. The entry notes the page text shows both two and four downloads, while the FAQ confirms 2. Translations and video variations start at the Team tier, from 1,125 USD a month.
- Starting price
- 350 USD a month billed annually for Starter, or 399 USD billed monthly, with 2 final downloads a month
- Free access
- No free plan. A 7-day free trial is listed on Starter. The help center says the editor and drafts can be tried free but a plan is needed to download a final video.
- Facts verified
- October 2026
Documented strengths
- Creates a brand profile from a website and generates video drafts, with unlimited drafts and brand profiles on every plan
- Writes scripts with ChatGPT-based scriptwriting and adds professional AI voiceover and premium stock content
- Includes an editing suite and downloads in TV and digital quality
Documented limits
- Starter caps final video downloads at 2 a month. The page text also shows a limited-time offer of four, while the FAQ states 2.
- Team and Enterprise download volumes, seat counts and overage terms are listed as custom, not published.
Worth it if: Waymark fits a marketer who needs a small number of broadcast-quality video ads a month and will pay 350 to 399 USD a month for 2 final downloads with unlimited drafts.
Skip it if: You produce many finished videos a month on a small budget, since Starter allows 2 downloads, or you need published Team and Enterprise volumes, which are listed as custom.
Topview AI
Agent-driven marketing video, priced by the second of generated output
Best for: Ecommerce teams turning product pages into short-form video at volume
Billed by the second of generated output: about 7.20 USD for a 60 second 720p video, so cost grows with every iteration. Only part of the pricing is published, no standing free tier exists (unlimited access was advertised as a promotion), and the full tier list is missing, which is why it ranks last here.
- Starting price
- Partially published, with a rate of 0.12 USD per second at 720p advertised
- Free access
- Not published. A period of unlimited access is advertised as a promotion.
- Facts verified
- August 2026
Documented strengths
- URL to video conversion removes the briefing step entirely for ecommerce, turning a product page directly into an ad
- Agent-driven planning handles scene selection and model choice rather than requiring the user to direct each step
- Outputs stay editable rather than arriving as a flat render, which matters when the first pass is nearly right
Documented limits
- Per-second pricing at the advertised rate makes iteration a metered cost, which discourages exactly the experimentation short-form video needs
- Only partial pricing is disclosed publicly, so total cost cannot be modelled from the site alone
Worth it if: You turn product pages into short video ads at volume and 0.12 USD per second at 720p is acceptable.
Skip it if: You are making brand film, or you need predictable monthly cost rather than usage-based billing.
Enterprise and feed-driven creative platforms
Platforms for catalogue advertisers, many markets or many brands. Most sell by demo, so the price question comes after the fit question.
Quickads
Ad creative software that becomes a managed service at higher tiers
Best for: Teams that want to test AI creative cheaply before committing to a service
Ranked first in this group because it is the only one with any published price or low-cost entry: a free start, a 1 USD trial for new users and DIY Pro from 99 USD a month. Above that, the managed tiers are custom quoted, and its vendor-reported ROAS figures carry no method.
- Starting price
- Free to start, with DIY Pro plans from 99 USD per month
- Free access
- Free to start, plus a 1 USD trial for new users.
- Facts verified
- August 2026
Documented strengths
- A one dollar trial removes essentially all risk from evaluating the entry product
- The DIY tier is genuinely self-serve from 99 dollars a month with a large ads library and pre-testing
- Bundling creative production with campaign management suits companies that would otherwise hire an agency for both
Documented limits
- The published average ROAS of 5.12x with a median of 7.68x is statistically unusual and unexplained, since a median above the mean implies a distribution skewed by poor performers
- Only the entry tier has a public price, with the two service tiers quoted as custom
Worth it if: You want to test AI creative for 1 USD first, then run self-serve from 99 USD a month with a large ads library and pre-testing.
Skip it if: You want software only, since the value concentrates in the managed service tiers, or you need transparent pricing above the entry tier.
Hunch
Feed-driven creative automation for catalogue and multi-location advertisers
Best for: Catalogue and multi-location advertisers who run dynamic product ads
Documents the most specific job: feed-driven creative, including more than 2,000 localized ads in under 30 minutes, with Smart Product Sets built from GA4 and conversion data. The site states no seat limits. It does nothing without a product feed or location data, and no price is published.
- Starting price
- Not published. Contact required.
- Free access
- None published.
- Facts verified
- August 2026
Documented strengths
- Reports incremental ROAS in at least one case study, which is a materially stronger claim than the attributed figures used across this category
- Hyper-local automation producing more than 2,000 localized ads in under 30 minutes addresses work that is otherwise impossible by hand
- Smart Product Sets group products using GA4 and conversion data rather than catalogue structure alone
Documented limits
- No pricing published despite the site emphasizing fair pricing and no hidden fees, which is an awkward combination
- Value depends entirely on having a product feed or location data, so the tool does nothing for advertisers without either
Worth it if: You run dynamic product ads off a large catalogue or need thousands of localized variants, with no seat limits stated.
Skip it if: You need a single strong hero concept rather than many variations, or you have no product feed or location data to drive the automation.
Omneky
Ad creative generation across five channels with computer vision analysis
Best for: Advertisers running the same concepts across five channels
Covers Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn and Reddit, generates image, video and UGC-style ads, and launches to channels directly. Computer vision analysis reports which visual elements performed. No price, named customers or performance evidence is published, and launching requires access to live ad accounts.
- Starting price
- Not published on the homepage. A pricing plans page is referenced.
- Free access
- None published.
- Facts verified
- August 2026
Documented strengths
- Covers Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn and Reddit rather than concentrating on one platform
- Computer vision analysis of creative performance addresses which visual elements worked, not just which ad ID won
- Generates image, video and UGC-style spokesperson ads in one product rather than across three
Documented limits
- No pricing published on the homepage, so cost cannot be assessed without contact
- Breadth across generation, distribution and analysis in a young category suggests uneven depth
Worth it if: You run the same creative concepts across Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn and Reddit and want to launch to channels from one product.
Skip it if: You advertise on one channel, where a specialist tool goes deeper, or you keep creative production separate from ad account access.
Pencil
An orchestration layer over many AI models, with enterprise brand governance
Best for: Multi-market brands that need governance over many AI models
Orchestrates models from OpenAI, Google, Adobe, Runway and Bria with role-based access and brand safety guardrails, and cites reference results at L'Oreal and Unilever scale. Pricing is demo-led, and the entry notes the product has moved away from its earlier predictive positioning.
- Starting price
- Not published. Demo-led enterprise sales process.
- Free access
- None published.
- Facts verified
- August 2026
Documented strengths
- Aggregating OpenAI, Google, Adobe, Runway and Bria means model choice without vendor sprawl, and insulation when any single model changes
- Brand safety guardrails and role-based access controls are treated as core rather than enterprise add-ons
- Reference results are specific and operational, including L'Oréal at 33 percent cost reduction across 46,000-plus assets and Unilever scaling to 24 markets
Documented limits
- No pricing published, so cost cannot be assessed without a sales process
- Share of Model, its measure of how AI perceives a brand, is asserted without published methodology
Worth it if: You produce creative across many markets and need brand governance and role-based access as core rather than enterprise add-ons.
Skip it if: You are a small team, where the value is in governance and scale, or you are shopping for performance prediction, which is no longer the positioning.
Smartly
Enterprise ad platform for creative, media and measurement, sold by demo
Best for: Cross-channel advertisers who want creative, media and measurement from one vendor
Documents the widest suite (Creative, Media and Intelligence, with Intelligent Creative and Predictive Budget Allocation) across social, connected TV and open web. It ranks last in the group only because no plans, prices, trial or suite breakdown are published on the pages checked.
- Starting price
- Not published
- Free access
- None listed. The site offers a demo.
- Facts verified
- October 2026
Documented strengths
- Organises the product into Creative, Media and Intelligence suites, plus Smartly Synapse for planning, execution and optimization
- Names AI features including Intelligent Creative, Predictive Budget Allocation and Smartly Brand Pulse for real-time measurement
- Covers social media, conversational commerce, connected TV (200+ streaming services stated), open web and video
Documented limits
- No plans, prices, free tier or trial are published. The site repeatedly points to Get a Demo or Talk to Smartly.
- The pages reviewed do not state which features sit in which suite or what each suite costs.
Worth it if: Smartly fits an advertiser or agency running cross-channel social, connected TV and open web campaigns that wants creative automation, budget allocation and measurement from one vendor and will buy through a sales demo.
Skip it if: You need a published price or a self-serve trial before deciding, since the site lists a demo call to action and no plans or prices.
Ad copy and message optimization
Tools that write and score the words, not the visuals. Pair them with an image or video generator, and check what the plan meters.
Anyword
Copy generation with performance scores, metered separately from the words
Best for: Marketers who write ad variants in volume and want a predictive score before spend
Ranked first for publishing what is metered: copy generation is unlimited on every tier, while performance predictions are capped at 50 a month on Starter and 100 on Data-Driven. No prediction methodology is published, and the 2,500 word trial is too small to test prediction accuracy.
- Starting price
- 49 USD per month, or 39 USD billed annually
- Free access
- No free plan. 7 day trial capped at 2,500 words.
- Facts verified
- August 2026
Documented strengths
- Full pricing is published across all tiers, including exactly what is metered, which is rare in this category
- Predictive scoring before spend is genuinely useful, since the alternative is learning the same thing by buying impressions
- Custom performance data can be fed in on higher tiers, which is what makes the prediction yours rather than generic
Documented limits
- Performance predictions are metered at 50 a month on Starter and 100 on Data-Driven, which is very few for the feature you are buying the product for
- No prediction methodology is published, so what the score is trained on and how well it has held up is unknown
Worth it if: You write ad variants in volume and want a predictive score before spend, at a published 49 USD a month or 39 USD billed annually.
Skip it if: You want a general writing tool, where cheaper options do the same job, or you need unlimited scoring on a lower tier.
Jasper
Brand voice and workflow layer over a general model, priced per seat
Best for: Marketing teams of five or more writing to one brand standard
A brand voice and workflow layer rather than an ad tool, priced per seat. Pro is capped at 2 brand voices, 5 knowledge assets and 3 audiences, and some features use credits whose rate card is not published, so the variable half of the bill cannot be modelled in advance.
- Starting price
- 59 USD per seat per month billed annually, or 69 USD billed monthly
- Free access
- No free plan. 7 day free trial on Pro.
- Facts verified
- August 2026
Documented strengths
- Brand voice and knowledge assets hold across a long piece far better than prompt instructions do
- Agent workflows encode a repeatable process rather than leaving everyone to freestyle prompts
- Admin controls and groups make it viable for teams that need governance over generation, and admins can see and allocate workspace credit usage
Documented limits
- At 59 dollars per seat per month on annual billing it is several times the cost of a general assistant
- The Pro plan caps you at 2 brand voices, 5 knowledge assets and 3 audiences, which agencies will hit quickly
Worth it if: You are a marketing team of five or more publishing to a shared brand standard, at 59 USD per seat per month billed annually.
Skip it if: You are a solo marketer or a two person team, where the seat price is hard to justify, or you want a chat window rather than a content workflow.
Persado
Marketing language generation trained on a million A/B tests, for regulated industries
Best for: Regulated-industry senders with disciplined A/B testing
Built on a stated base of over a million A/B tests with compliance validation in generation, and references in banking. Pricing is enterprise sales, and the site now positions it as an agentic creative agency, so a quote may mix licence and delivered work. Headline win-rate claims lack test design.
- Starting price
- Not published. Enterprise sales process.
- Free access
- None published.
- Facts verified
- August 2026
Documented strengths
- The performance knowledge base is built from over a million A/B tests, which is experimental evidence rather than correlation from scraped text
- Compliance validation built into generation addresses the actual constraint in financial services marketing, where legal review delays campaigns more than writing does
- Element-level scoring, breaking a message into emotional drivers and calls to action, produces learning that transfers between campaigns
Documented limits
- Headline claims such as outperforming humans and generic AI 96 percent of the time are published without stating the test design, sample or baseline
- Case study figures like plus 57 percent new accounts and plus 42 percent conversion lift are vendor-reported without published controls
Worth it if: You market in a regulated industry where compliance review delays campaigns more than writing does, and you already run disciplined A/B testing.
Skip it if: You are a small sender, where a corpus advantage cannot express itself at low volume, or you want general content generation rather than message optimization.
Ad builders that also launch and run campaigns
Tools that write the ads and then publish and adjust the campaign. Several take a share of ad spend on top of the plan fee, so total cost rises with your budget.
Shown.io
AI that builds and adjusts ad campaigns, priced by campaigns, creatives and ad budget
Best for: Small businesses with no ad specialist across Google, Microsoft, Meta and TikTok
Ranked first for pairing AI copy, banners and images with publishing to five networks at published limits: 3 campaigns and 30 creatives on Starter, 20 and 300 on Advanced. Linking your own ad accounts carries 0% commission, while Shown ad accounts carry 20% of ad budget.
- Starting price
- 29 USD per month for Starter, rising to 120 USD for Advanced
- Free access
- No free plan. 7 day free trial.
- Facts verified
- October 2026
Documented strengths

- Optimises around the clock by pausing keywords, creating new ads to A/B test and suggesting new targeting
Documented limits
- Starter is capped at 3 campaigns, 30 creatives and 3 team members. Advanced is capped at 20 campaigns, 300 creatives and 10 team members.
- Using Shown ad accounts, where Shown manages payments and budgets, carries a 20% commission on ad budget.
Worth it if: Shown.io fits a small business with no ad specialist that wants campaigns built and tuned for it, and will link its own ad accounts to avoid the 20% commission on ad budget.
Skip it if: You run more than 20 campaigns or 300 creatives on the plan, or you need the media spend itself to carry no fee through Shown's ad accounts.

Documented limits
- Every paid tier adds a percentage of monthly ad spend on top of the subscription: 10% on Starter, 5% on Growth and 2% on Pro.
- Starter is shown as 0 USD for the first month with 5.9 USD a month struck through. The price after the first month is not stated in words.
Worth it if: AdsGo AI fits a small business or store without marketing staff that spends 5,000 USD or more a month on ads, where Pro at 109 USD plus 2% comes to 209 USD against 279 USD on Growth.
Skip it if: You want a flat fee that does not move with ad spend, or you need Pro's unnamed all platforms list confirmed before you buy.

- Starting price
- 100 USD per month plus 12% of monthly ad spend for Essential, or 250 USD plus 10% for Pro

Skip it if: You spend under about 450 USD a month on ads, where the 100 USD fee and 12% share take a large part of the budget, or you want a free tier or trial, since none is listed.
Campaign optimization and ad management
These tools analyze, tune or manage campaigns more than they generate creative, so they sit behind a generator rather than replacing one. Check which ad platforms each one actually supports.

Skip it if: You spend above 25K USD a month, since overages apply at a rate the page does not publish, or you need an API, which the FAQ lists as roadmap work.

Madgicx
Meta ads automation priced by your ad spend, shown after signup
Best for: Meta-first advertisers whose bottleneck is manual rule management
Automation, targeting and analytics for Meta, with a real 7 day trial. The plan price is calculated from a monthly ad spend questionnaire and shown only after signup, and Tracking Pro is 49 USD a month per connected account, which multiplies for agencies.
- Starting price
- Not published. The price is shown inside the app after signup.
- Free access
- No free plan. A 7 day free trial with cancellation is offered.
- Facts verified
- August 2026
Documented strengths
- Consolidates automation, targeting, analytics and ad management rather than solving one slice
- A genuine 7 day free trial with cancellation, so the product can be assessed in full
- Tracking Pro is priced openly at 49 dollars a month per connected account rather than bundled opaquely
Documented limits
- The core plan price is only visible inside the app after signup, so it cannot be compared against alternatives beforehand
- Pricing scales with your monthly ad spend band, which ties vendor revenue to your spending rather than your return
Worth it if: You buy Meta-first and manual rule management has become the bottleneck, with Tracking Pro published at 49 USD a month per connected account.
Skip it if: You need a price before starting a trial, since the price is shown inside the app after signup, or you buy primarily on Google or TikTok.
Albert.ai
Autonomous cross-channel media buying that reallocates budget without approval
Best for: Advertisers with steady spend across Google, Meta, YouTube, TikTok and DV360
Autonomous cross-channel media buying that reallocates budget across segments. The entry says the boundary between automatic and approved decisions is never stated, and pricing is a request form that asks for your annual ad budget range.
- Starting price
- Not published. Contact required.
- Free access
- None published.
- Facts verified
- August 2026
Documented strengths
- Acts rather than recommends, shifting spend across audience segments as performance changes
- Genuine cross-channel scope covering Google, Bing, Meta, YouTube, TikTok and DV360 rather than one platform
- Runs inside your existing ad accounts, so deployment does not require rebuilding campaigns elsewhere
Documented limits
- The boundary between autonomous and approved decisions is never stated, which for software that spends money is the central question
- No pricing published, so cost cannot be assessed without a sales process
Worth it if: You run consistent spend across Google, Meta, YouTube, TikTok and DV360, and the daily labour of reallocating budget is the constraint.
Skip it if: You need to approve spend changes before they happen, or you buy on one channel where the platform automation already does this.
VidMob
Creative analytics built on official measurement partnerships with ad platforms
Best for: Enterprise teams that need element-level creative findings across many platforms
Creative measurement rather than generation, built on measurement partnerships with ad platforms and scoring at the element level. Ranked last because it is not a generator and nothing is priced for small or mid-market advertisers. Its claimed 2X click-through lift has no stated baseline.
- Starting price
- Not published, enterprise sales only
- Free access
- None.
- Facts verified
- August 2026
Documented strengths
- Official measurement partnership with every major ad platform means sanctioned data access rather than inference from what a pixel can see
- Creative scoring works at the element level, which is the layer where a finding transfers to the next brief
- Diversity and representation measurement is a real capability that few creative platforms offer at all
Documented limits
- No pricing is published anywhere, so the cost is a sales conversation with no anchor
- Scale figures such as 3 trillion creative elements and 18 million assets are unauditable and describe the corpus rather than what it predicts for you
Worth it if: You run creative at volume across many ad platforms and need element-level findings that transfer to the next brief.
Skip it if: You are a small or mid-market advertiser, since nothing here is priced for that, or you want creative generation rather than measurement.
Frequently asked questions
What is an AI ad generator?
An AI ad generator is software that produces ad creative from a brief, a product link or a reference ad: static images, short video, headlines and body copy, resized for each platform. Some also publish the ads or adjust the campaign. This guide splits them into six jobs because a copy tool and a campaign builder are not interchangeable.
Is there a free AI ad generator?
Free access is limited. Creatify has a free plan with 10 monthly credits and watermarked output, Canva has a free plan with one brand kit, ad:personam has a free planning mode that does not deliver live campaigns, and Oz advertises 3 free ads on signup. Most others offer only a short trial.
Can an AI ad generator make video ads?
Yes. Oz, Zeely, AdGPT, Creatify, Waymark and Topview AI list video output, with differences in limits: Waymark caps final downloads at 2 a month on Starter, Topview bills by the second, and AdGPT limits video to 720p below its Prime plan. Check output length and resolution on your plan before comparing.
Do AI ad generators connect to Meta and Google Ads?
Some do. AdGPT uploads to TikTok, Meta and Google accounts, Zeely launches bulk Meta campaigns, OmniTrain publishes a paused Meta campaign, and Shown.io publishes to five networks. Others only export files. Check which platforms your plan connects, since coverage often depends on the tier, and use the platform's current ad policy for what may run.
How much does an AI ad creative cost?
It depends on the plan unit. Using published figures, a two-credit image ad on Oz Starter works out to about 0.40 USD, an OmniTrain Creative Pack of three ads is 15 credits at 7.50 USD, and a 60 second 720p Topview video is about 7.20 USD. Several tools publish no per-ad credit cost.
Do AI-generated ads perform better?
This guide makes no performance claim, and neither should you assume one. Vendor figures such as ROAS or click lifts in these entries are self-reported, and several lack a baseline or method. Treat generated creative as more variants to test, and judge it on your own campaign results.
How many ad variations can I generate?
Limits vary by plan. Shown.io allows 30 creatives on Starter and 300 on Advanced, AdsGo AI lists 10 ad creatives per 100 USD of ad spend, OmniTrain holds up to 12 ads on Light, and Anyword generates unlimited copy but meters predictions at 50 a month on Starter.
